Welcome to my Blog. My name is Gayle and I have been passionate about fitness ever since I went from a size 16 to a size 2. I have worked in the fitness industry for 10 years. I am in my 40's and I am here to let you know that is never too late to get started.
My goal here is to motivaye you, inspire you and get you up and moving. I will share Health/Fitness Tips with you. I hope you will join me in getting healthy and fit! Welcome!
I love that you have started a blog!! You are inspiring. I'm 39 and SO ready to get my body back in shape. I was doing well in the summer, being active and eating well but now the cold weather and holidays have got me slightly off track. No better time than today to decide to get back ON track. I like your daily tips, they make sense and aren't too complicated or trendy. Look forward to reading your blog. (~Alleykitten on Twitter)
ReplyDeleteIt so encouraged me to know you were once a 16! that's what I am now. Makes me realize it can be done!
ReplyDeleteIt works ladies when I was working out with Gayle I was probably the healthiest I had ever been. There are no short tricks she teaches a healthly lifestyle and everything in moderation. Yes, even chocolate or a cookies on a cheat day. Exercising a must for your body and mind, water a must till your pee is clear. I'm hoping this gets me started again I miss being the size I was, I felt good. Started your high protein low carb moderation plan today. Wish me luck. Gayle I know you will be checking on me.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see any comments from dudes on here so let me be the first. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll keep my story short since I think I've told Gayle some of it before. Back in 2004 I weighed a hefty 215. I was unhappy and had no confidence. No nice way of saying it...I was a fat ass! I made a choice to change my life. I won't bore you with everything I did but it was simple things - cutting out cola and replacing it with bottled water for meals. Adding eggs and fiber to my daily regime, exercise etc. In 2006 when I worked for Comcast I weighed 150! Yeah! In truth that was too low for me. I don't look right that skinny.
Since then I've had battles with my weight. I shot back up to 195 due to stress and bulls*** in my life. As of this writing I'm down to 180. The goal is to get down to 170 or 175. It's a struggle and each person has to find their own motivations for wanting to lose weight and keeping it off. I think that has to be the driving factor. If you keep that in my mind it makes it easier. Mine was the physical factor. Shallow? Maybe. But then again the better I looked, the better I felt. Especially when chicks started paying more attention!
I think it's cool you're doing this blog, Gayle. And wanna thank you for taking time to share your knowledge with others. I mean you're in fantastic shape so you must be doing something right! ;)
Thanks everybody! I love hearing from all of you. You will all motivate eachother just as much as I will. keep talking and ask questions!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gayle--I enjoyed your post. I know all you say is true--now I just need to follow it better(which I mostly do--(except for the sugar part)
